Emily O’Carroll is an NCCPA board-certified physician assistant who joined the Latham Dermatology team in 2021. She has been practicing as a physician assistant, specifically in dermatology, since 2018.

Ms. O’Carroll began her studies with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University, cum laude, in Boston, MA. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Ms. O’Carroll worked in clinical research at Tufts Medical Center focused on sepsis biomarkers in critical care populations. It was there she found the physician assistant profession.

She furthered her studies and graduated from Albany Medical College in 2018 at the top of her class, summa cum laude, with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. During her time at Albany Medical College, she received the prestigious award of Excellence in Physician Assistant Studies. She is currently a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Ms. O’Carroll found her passion for dermatology during her rotations in graduate school. She enjoys all aspects of dermatology including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.

In her spare time, Ms. O’Carroll enjoy boating on Lake George, skiing in the Adirondacks, and playing tennis.
